Arizona's premier integrative and alternative medicine office, Longevity Medical Health Center and Naturopathic Family Care, is hosting a Fall Health Festival in celebration of serving Arizona for nearly 25 years. Since 1985, we've been promoting healthy living and preventative medicine. Over the years our clinic has grown considerably, and we now offer more ways to stay healthy than ever before.

Our clinic provides a great variety of services including preventative medicine, women's health, pediatrics, men's health, chiropractic care, massage therapy, sports medicine, acupuncture, weight management, environmental medicine/detox, allergy medicine, homeopathy, IV therapy, alternative/integrative cancer care, and much more!

This will be an excellent chance to meet and talk with all eight of our physicians and staff. We will be providing fun activities for the whole family, including kid activities, raffle prizes and gifts, free chair massage, group acupuncture (You know you want to try!), great food, recipes and demos with "Chef Rachel", and the opportunity to meet your community! There will be many other health-conscious businesses that we have gotten to know over the years who will be happy to talk with you about what they offer. Additionally, there will be an informal health-related lecture every 30 minutes on a specific health topic given by one of our doctors.

We invite you to share this opportunity with others and we look forward to seeing you there!

Hello Everyone,

Come and join me for an informal and introductory lecture on nutrition for athletes. People who are physically active have specific nutritional needs that often times are not met by the Standard American Diet (SAD). If fact, most of us don't get what we need from the SAD diet.

If you are an athlete, or a person who tries to work out a few times per week, or a person who is just thinking about beginning to work out a couple of times per week, this will be a good Meetup for you!

We'll be covering some of the bodily changes that occur when we're physically active and engaged in regular exercise. We'll also talk about what the ideal exercise intensity levels are for people with different exercise goals. Lastly, we'll talk about the best ways to obtain the nutrition you need to get the most out of your exercise programs.

See you there!

On average American women will gain 10lbs with every passing decade, after age menopause.

In general both men and women will start to put on pounds after age 30. This has to do with the aging metabolism.

Dr. Marchese will explain the medical reason for weight gain and outline a weight loss program designed to restore a healthy and youthful metabolism.

Existing and new members will receive a gift certificate towards their first visit to establish their detailed individual plan. Don't forget to bring a friend!

Most people experience occasional sleeplessness. When it persists, they join the over 60 million Americans who suffer from insomnia.

Insomnia can have a huge impact on a person’s health -- increased risk for heart disease, diabetes, obesity, depression, and anxiety. Insomnia decreases the immune systems function, lowers mental and physical performance, and leads to increased mortality.

Some of the more common causes of insomnia: hormone imbalances, medication side effects, lifestyle, nutrient deficiencies, and other diseases.

Join Dr. Marie Niechwiadowicz in discussing the options of traditional and alternative treatments, including sleep hygiene, light therapy, acupuncture, hormone balancing, herbs or pharmaceuticals. As critical as sleep is to health, it is vital the treatment addresses the cause and is not just a band-aid that when pulled off reveals a bigger problem.

If you have kids, chances are that you have heard of the controversy about childhood vaccinations. There has been a good deal of information concerning the use of certain vaccines and health risks such as autism. Some authors have also suggested that vaccine preservatives, such as thimerosal may contain high amounts of the heavy metal mercury. Others believe that childhood vaccinations are risk-free and that every child should be vaccinated for everything.

Join Dr. Jake Psenka, ND as he discusses the facts and research about childhood vaccinations.

As much as it 'pains' the naturopathic bioidentical hormone community, the topic of 'ANDROPAUSE' for aging men is now 'official' and national since it had been broadcast this week on the Dr. Phil show. Flippant as this sounds, andropause is a concerning issue for men that until only recently had been ignored by the conventional establishment.

What is andropause? Quite simply it is the male version of menopause. However instead of occurring quickly (as in women), a man's hormones decrease considerably but slowly over many years. This leads to a slow but ultimately noticeable (especially to the spouse) decrease in libido, energy, fitness (weight gain) and an overall feeling that "the wind was taken out of my sails". Low testosterone can cause health concerns involving heart disease and even responsible for marital problems that could involve infidelity.

Please join Mens Health expert Dr. Tamburri for an encore informal discussion on this 'newly' recognized problem.

If you are interested in men's health issues, and have not heard or joined Dr. Tamburri in one of his discussions you do not want to miss this opportunity.
