Tonight's featured Modality of The Month is all about fitness basics. Why is is so important to exercise regularly? WICHA annual member Andrea Brumer, fitness instructor, personal trainer and former OT is going to talk to us tonight about all the reasons we should be moving, strengthening and staying active. The reasons that many of us may have forgotten will be re-introduced to you!

It was originally suggested we discuss Bill C-51 in lieu of Green Gab this evening but our special speaker on the topic will actually be attending a meeting on the Bill that same night. Instead WICHA member Cherie Griffiths will be talking to us about spiritual gardening. We will address the current issue of pesticides in gardening, and learn about some eco-friendly solutions to our every day gardening dilemmas. It is that time of year when the green thumbs among us roll up our sleeves and try to elaborate on the amazing job that mother nature has already done.

7:00 Meet, Munch and Mingle - Sign in, grab a name tag & help yourself to something to eat while you acquaint yourself or deepen your relationship with other attendees

7:15 Greetings & Business - ie: membership news, special guests, objectives etc...

7:25 30 second infomercials - All practitioners and businesses, will have the opportunity to introduce their modality or business, please keep your intro to 30 seconds only.

7:45 Modality of the Month - Get healthy, get strong, get fit live long with Andrea Brumer.

8:10 Green Gab - Tonight's topic for Green Gab is being presented by WICHA annual member Cherie Griffiths. She is going to speak about spiritual gardening, and teach us some solutions on how to deal with some of our unwelcome garden guests, without the use of pesticides.

8:40 Open networking

I will again be providing some refreshments for the meeting, we have the use of a small kitchen at our hall, your help is requested in tidying up after the meeting. Also please bring your name tag from the last meeting if you still have it.

Cost for the meeting is $ 15.00 for businesses and practitioners (an annual option membership is also available. Doctors, nurses and lay members of the community may attend free of charge, as they are not promoting their interests.

Wishing you good heath and happiness and the time to enjoy them. Namaste

Please take a moment to RSVP your attendance and honour your commitment, we can all be better prepared for our meetings knowing how many colleagues and guests to expect. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

I recommended to Joyce that WICHA can get it's own page on Facebook; once there is a page created we can join in as "fans" and post events. I have exploring this venue as a way to promote ArcoIris and so far so good. For those who have websites already, it's a fantastic way to increase traffic to your site. Social Media Marketing is hot this days.

Both Andrea and Cherie are incredibly passionate about what they do are are certainly experts in their fields, thanks for the great information ladies!
    •  Lot's of good information! Andrea came very well prepared and the Garden Expert made me feel like "I wished I had a garden" that I could nurture and where I can compost all my organic waste.
    •  Great meeting Joyce, as usual. Both presentations were very informative. It would be very helpful if speakers had a place to post a tip sheet following their talk.
    •  I really enjoyed being there. I met Mrs Edward and bought her book and enjoyed the presentations very much. Seeing some people I already met allows for getting to develop deeper relationships. Keep up the good work!

Once again, the meeting reminded me why I chose this profession, the common bond is true passion for waht we do. I hope I inspired at least some of you to get more active and eat properly, and be mindful of everything you do! Get fit, Andrea
