Enjoy a Spring Flower Walk, Wooded Hike, Gentle Yoga Poses, Group Meditation and Coe Hall Tour at Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park

Saturday, May 30th at 12.30pm the day will end when the park closes at 5pm

We will start our day with a guided tour of one of the few remaining Gold Coast estates, Coe Hall. Together we will explore some of the 409 acres including the gardens, hiking trails, greenhouses woodland paths and outstanding plant collections. As a group we will indulge in a group meditation and gentle yoga poses. Bring a snack and plan for a late afternoon picnic.

Planting Fields, is one of the few remaining Gold Coast estates on Long Island's North Shore that retains its original 409 acres as well as its historic buildings and landscape. Rolling lawns, formal gardens, hiking trails and specimen plantings, as well as the Camellia Greenhouse and the Main Greenhouse, with its unique seasonal displays, are a treat for visitors year round. Planting Fields is rich with history. In addition, current information about innovative garden techniques and new plant selections is available.

The Arboretum contains greenhouses, gardens, woodland paths, and outstanding plant collections. The estate buildings include Coe Hall, the 65 room former residence of the Coe family which has been restored as a museum bringing the past to life. Planting Fields is an ideal location for a day of fun.
There are over 200 acres of woodland at Planting Fields. Miles of hiking trails lead through many natural areas of the arboretum. Enjoy many deciduous trees, flowering plants and interesting wildlife. Come and explore the natural beauty of Planting Fields

Coe Hall contains many original pieces and furnishings once belonging to the Coe family, including the restored Louis XVI Reception Room. The mostly Elizabethan style interior of the Tudor Revival mansion is a showcase of artistry and craftsmanship in its wood and stone carvings, ironwork, 13th - 19th century stained glass windows. Coe Hall has 65 rooms distributed over four floors and a servants wingCoe Hall, called "the house" by the Coe family, was built between 1918-1921
Situated between Oyster Bay and Locust Valley on Long Island's North Shore, Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park is one of Long Island's premier public arboretums and historic sites. A former Gold Coast estate of over four hundred acres.
