Have you failed to find true, sustainable happiness through acquisitions, the right mate or the right job? We, of This Happy Planet, have found that true happiness comes from within rather than from outside ourselves. The ?constant treadmill? approach to living does not lead to true internal happiness. Many books and scientific studies have shown that material acquisitions provide only temporary satisfaction. It has been scientifically proven that happiness is most achievable by focusing on the positive things in our lives rather than the negative. Generosity, kindness, self-esteem, exercise and time spent with those we love and appreciate are some of the things that have been proven as successful means of making us happy. At This Happy Planet, we intend to expand our numbers to include all like-minded people through monthly meetings, lectures, T.V. simulcasts, etc. We warmly invite those of you interested to attend the first Seattle meeting on Sunday May 25, 2008 at 7:00 pm, where we will discuss how happiness is a conscious choice from which everything else flows.

WHAT IS THE HAPPINESS CLUB?
"Strive to realize a state of inward happiness, independent of circumstances." These are the profound words of J.P. Greaves. I do not know who Mr. Greaves was, but I do know he had an understanding of happiness that very few people realize. As I tried to change things and events outside of me, they could not change enough for me to feel happy on the inside. Read more

“The eternal and unfruitful search for happiness/meaning that has been my life? To try to overcome my no-doubt Irish tendency toward melancholy? To get out of my comfort zone and into a new circle of similarly seeking friends? How does that sound?”
